Anyone can set tile in a straight grid. The difference between a nice room and a memorable one is usually design: a mosaic feature wall, a hand-laid pattern on the floor, a custom blend of materials and colors that exists nowhere else. Custom design is where Tile Arts Inc started, and it’s still what we love most.

We work with homeowners, interior designers, and architects to develop layouts and material palettes that fit the space and the vision, then we execute them with the precision custom work demands. Intricate mosaics, mixed-material borders, book-matched stone, geometric floors: the more ambitious the idea, the more it benefits from a team that has actually built it before.

## Frequently asked.

Can you work from my designer’s or architect’s drawings?

Absolutely. We collaborate with design professionals regularly, translating drawings and mood boards into buildable layouts and flagging anything that needs a material or detail decision before we start.

Do you create custom mosaics?

Yes. From simple accent bands to full hand-laid feature walls and floor medallions, custom mosaic work is a specialty. We’ll mock up the design and material blend before installation.

Will a complex pattern cost more?

Custom layouts take more planning, cutting, and labor than a standard grid, so they do cost more, but it’s usually the detail people remember most. We’ll give you a clear estimate so you can decide where to invest.

How do we start a custom design?

With a conversation about the space, the look you’re after, and your budget. From there we develop a layout and material palette, and refine it with samples before any tile is set.
