Does natural stone need a lot of maintenance? More than porcelain, but it’s manageable. Most stone needs periodic sealing and a bit of care with acidic cleaners, especially marble. In exchange you get a material with character no manufactured tile can match. We seal on install and tell you exactly how to keep it looking right. Is marble too delicate for a kitchen or bath? Marble lives beautifully in kitchens and baths the world over; it just develops a patina and benefits from sealing and sensible care. If you want the marble look with less upkeep, we can also point you to porcelain that convincingly mimics it. What is book-matching? It’s laying adjacent stone slabs as mirror images so the veining flows symmetrically across the surface, stunning on feature walls and large vanities. It takes careful selection and layout, which is part of what we do. Can you match stone to an existing installation? We’ll do our best.
