Tile Repair & Restoration

Refresh or repair damaged and aging tile and stone surfaces.

Not every tile project is a full remodel. Sometimes a few cracked tiles, failing grout, or a dull, etched stone floor is all that stands between a space and looking great again. Tile Arts Inc repairs and restores tile and stone, often for a fraction of the cost of replacement, and without the disruption of a full tear-out.

We replace damaged tiles and match them to the existing field, regrout and reseal to stop water intrusion and refresh the look, and restore natural stone that’s lost its luster. When a surface genuinely is past saving, we’ll tell you that too, honestly, rather than patch a problem that will only come back.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

Can you match my existing tile?

Often, yes, especially for common formats. For discontinued or one-off tiles we source the closest available match or use tiles from a low-visibility area (like under an appliance) to patch the visible spot. We’ll set expectations honestly up front.

My grout is cracking and discolored. Do I need new tile?

Usually not. Failing grout is common and very fixable: we remove the old grout, regrout, and reseal. It refreshes the look and, more importantly, stops water from getting behind the tile.

Can you restore a dull or etched marble floor?

Yes. Marble and other stone can be honed, polished, and resealed to remove etching and bring back the finish, rather than replaced. It’s one of the most satisfying before-and-afters we do.

When is repair not worth it?

When the substrate or waterproofing behind the tile has failed, a patch is just a temporary fix. In those cases we’ll recommend addressing the real problem, and we’ll tell you straight rather than sell you a repair that won’t hold.
